Greenways and Trails

CCDC Foundation is actively involved in the acquisition and planning of several Greenways and Trails initiatives including:

• Stream corridor rehabilitation of portions of the Boneyard Creek in Champaign
• Partnership with the Champaign County Greenways and Trails Comprehensive Plan steering committee and affiliated agencies/institutions
• Acquisition of the 24.5 mile CSX (former Consolidated Rail Corporation or Conrail) railroad line to serve as a bicycle/pedestrian trail between Urbana and Danville, Illinois
